Students from Brooklyn College Academy High School,Paul Robeson High School and Wingate High School have worked tremendously hard through out the year. Amongst the work shown are Sneaker designs, Illustrations, Photography, Digital Story Telling, Poetry and Dance. *Excellent work team!
Students photographed hands in action and hands holding an object. A moment in time.
Students created scultptures about hands. Sculptures are 3-D and 2-D with patterns. Hands develop action, expression an emotion. Hand tell us stories.
As BCAL artist and student come together and develop a body of work there are sources of influence we have focused on and they are: Japanese graphics, silhouette/out-lines, forms and shadows and West -Indian Art. As artist it is important to refer to sources and understand what is out there in the world. Often times works are repeated or manifested in other forms or mediums and expressions that is why we use sources and references. Enjoy this Gallery Space.
